Good Samaritan Community Action, Inc. is a nonprofit organization committed to improving lives, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for sustainable growth in the United States and Haiti. Governed by a dedicated Board of Directors comprising seven experienced and passionate leaders, and supported by a network of committed volunteers, our organization works tirelessly to address the social, educational, economic, and humanitarian challenges affecting vulnerable populations.

Founded on the principle that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive, Good Samaritan Community Action, Inc. was established to serve as a catalyst for positive change. We believe that strong communities are built through collaboration, empowerment, and strategic investment in people. Our mission extends beyond providing temporary assistance; we strive to equip individuals and families with the resources, knowledge, and support systems necessary to achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

As communities continue to face increasingly complex challenges such as poverty, educational disparities, unemployment, food insecurity, public health concerns, and natural disasters, Good Samaritan Community Action, Inc. remains committed to developing innovative and sustainable solutions. We recognize that lasting change requires a comprehensive understanding of the interconnected issues affecting communities. For this reason, we embrace a holistic approach that considers the social, emotional, educational, economic, and environmental factors influencing quality of life.

Our work begins with listening. Through community assessments, stakeholder engagement, and direct outreach, we identify the most pressing needs and emerging challenges facing the populations we serve. We then design and implement programs that address these needs while fostering resilience, independence, and community participation. Our initiatives focus on advancing education, supporting economic development, strengthening families, promoting disaster preparedness and response, and creating pathways toward healthier and more prosperous communities.

In both the United States and Haiti, we are dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to become active participants in their own development. We believe that sustainable change occurs when people are equipped with the tools and opportunities to improve their circumstances and contribute to the well-being of their communities. Through training, mentorship, advocacy, community engagement, and capacity-building efforts, we help individuals transform challenges into opportunities for growth and success.

Although Good Samaritan Community Action, Inc. is not affiliated with any religious denomination or faith-based institution, we value collaboration and partnership as essential components of community development. We proudly work alongside churches, civic organizations, businesses, community leaders, volunteers, and other nonprofit agencies to maximize our impact and reach. These partnerships allow us to leverage resources, share expertise, and strengthen our collective ability to address critical issues affecting underserved populations.
